Modules and add-ons
Turn on the modules your business runs on, in any combination. You choose them during setup and can change them any time in Settings > Modules.
| Module | What it is for | Records you work with, for example |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | Your customers, quotes and orders, from first call to signed deal. | deals, quotes, orders |
| Finance | Invoices, bills and payments, and the books they post to. | invoices, vendor bills, payments, bank transactions, journal entries |
| HR & People | Your team, their time off, and payroll. | employees, timesheets, payroll runs, payslips |
| Inventory & Warehouse | What you have in stock, where it is, and what it is worth. | products, stock levels, stock movements, warehouses |
| Procurement | What you buy, from whom, and when it arrives. | purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts |
| Projects | Jobs you deliver, with their tasks, time and budget. | projects, tasks, time entries |
| Customer Support | Customer questions and issues, until each one is solved. | tickets |
Which records a module shows depends on your plan and your role.
Contacts holds the people and companies you deal with. Every module uses the same contacts, so a customer is one record whether you are quoting them, invoicing them or answering their ticket.
Modules work together
Because the modules share one system, work in one carries into the others. For example:
- posting a payroll run records it in the ledger,
- receiving goods against a purchase order updates stock and the books,
- stock falling below its reorder level raises a purchase request,
- completing a project milestone creates its invoice.
Each module's menu
Click a module in the left rail to open its overview. Its menu lists its record types, plus:
- Dashboards: the module's dashboards, which you can edit. See Dashboards and reports.
- Documents: the documents attached to the module's records.
- Settings: the module's own options.
HR also has My Time, Time Off and My Requests for each person's own hours, leave and requests.
Add-ons
An add-on extends a module with something your business tracks that the module does not, such as fixed assets in Finance or vehicles in Inventory. Open Add-ons at the bottom of the left rail to install a ready-made one; each card says which module it adds to and what it creates. An add-on gets the same permissions, reports and history as the rest of the module, and appears in that module's menu.
Add-ons this workspace already has are listed in Settings > Modules.
