ERP for manufacturers

ERP for manufacturers, shaped around how your company makes things.

Loopency runs the work of a growing manufacturer in one system: the quote, the sales order, the bill of materials, the work order, the materials it uses, the parts you buy and the invoice. Every department works from the same records.

What it runs on the shop floor and in the office

Make to order

A work order can name the sales order it is made for, so why you are making something has its answer on the record. The order then ships, is invoiced and is paid on the same records.

Bills of materials and work orders

Release a work order from its bill of materials. Booking production takes the components out of stock and puts the finished goods in.

Finished goods at their real cost

Finished goods are valued at what went into them: the components consumed plus the labor and overhead the work order records. Selling them records that cost as cost of goods sold.

Inspection sign-offs

Production can carry checkpoints such as a first-article inspection and a final sign-off, and only the roles you name can give them.

Reorder rules for materials

When a material falls below its reorder level, Loopency raises a purchase requisition. A person approves it and turns it into a purchase order.

Purchasing that posts its own accounting

A posted goods receipt records the stock movement and its accounting entry, and a completed three-way match posts the vendor bill.

How an order moves

From quote to cash

  1. The customer accepts your quote and it becomes a sales order.
  2. A work order is released for it from the bill of materials.
  3. Production is booked: components out of stock, finished goods in.
  4. The order is shipped and delivered.
  5. Finance invoices it from the sales order.
  6. The payment is recorded and the order is closed.

Shaped around how your company works

Off-the-shelf software asks you to work its way. Loopency starts from how your company already works, and changes as the business does.

Describe your business

Describe what your company does in your own words, in any language. Loopency suggests the modules that fit and sets them up as you confirm each step.

Bring your spreadsheets

Import customers, products, open invoices and more from Excel or CSV. A preview shows what will be added or updated before anything is written.

Add what you track

Extend a module with the fields, records and add-ons your business needs. They get the same permissions, history and reports as everything else.

AI agents that prepare the work

Agents work in the same business context as your team and see only what their role allows. What an agent prepares waits for a person to approve it.

Questions

Is Loopency an ERP for manufacturers?

It covers what a small manufacturer needs an ERP for: sales orders, bills of materials, work orders, inventory, purchasing, invoicing and the accounting they post. The difference is the starting point. Loopency starts from a description of how your company works and proposes the setup, instead of handing you modules to configure.

What kind of manufacturer is it for?

Growing manufacturers from one person to under a hundred, such as metal parts, industrial components, equipment and specialty manufacturers, whose operations have outgrown spreadsheets and separate tools.

Does it handle make-to-order production?

Yes. A work order can be linked to the sales order it is made for, and that order goes on to shipping, the invoice and the payment on the same records.

How are finished goods valued?

At what went into them: the cost of the components the work order consumed, plus the labor and overhead it records, divided by the quantity produced. When the goods are sold, that cost is recorded as cost of goods sold.

Can I start from my spreadsheets?

Yes. Customers, products, open invoices and more import from Excel or CSV. You map the columns, see a preview of what will be created, and nothing is written until you import.
